A global financial services group in Canada seeks an experienced Equity Research Analyst to provide insightful commentary and analysis on the Resources sector. The role demands strong financial modelling skills and the ability to build relationships with industry players and institutional investors. Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience in equities analysis, with relevant educational qualifications. Flexible working arrangements are offered.
Join our Equities Research team as a part of Macquarie Capital, who provide highly informative commentary aimed at assisting institutional clients with their investment decisions. You will build good working partnerships, be able to interact with key industry participants and be able to research, analyse and provide written and oral commentary on the sector.
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
As a Resources Analyst, you will model company financials (earnings, cashflows, individual project and transaction analysis) as well as some commodity/macro analysis. While this role is grounded in technical and financial analysis as well as report writing, a key part of the role is developing relationships with both industry and with institutional investors both here and abroad. As a key member of the equities franchise, you will also be a face of Macquarie, presenting key ideas to institutional investors as well as a raft of corporate access and conference style events. You will have access to senior individuals within the listed entities you cover as well as key investment decision makers within the Australian Funds Management market.

Our global corporate advisory, investing, development and equities capabilities are underpinned by a full spectrum of capital markets solutions and deep sector expertise, with a focus on infrastructure and real assets, technology, software and services, and resources, energy and materials.
