Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Canada is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC, and other equipment.

You will work in a safety-focused environment, with opportunities to develop a career track in service or operations management, and may need to provide your own tools. High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years' diesel or heavy equipment experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• May need to provide tools of trade; bilingual may be required based on location needs

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to avoid downtime
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment with safety in mind
• Support a team in a safety-focused environment and contribute to uptime
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced operation
