About the Company

Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and seamless operation of equipment within the Weld department. Utilize your mechanical expertise, communication skills, and passion for continuous improvement to make a real impact. Collaborate closely with Engineering Groups, Operators, and Production Associates to drive optimal efficiency and performance. In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for completing preventative maintenance activities, responding to line calls for troubleshooting and repairs, and coordinating with contractors. Responsibilities
  • Resolve equipment issues through root cause analysis (RCA) and countermeasure (CM) implementation
  • Develop and close downtime reports
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) checks, including equipment condition monitoring and in-process PMs
  • Document daily activities: equipment changes, downtime calls, work orders (WO), investigations, and CM results
  • Communicate work order (WO) feedback, participate in production meetings, review WO backlog, and coordinate activities with other shifts
  • Support business themes or project-based improvements
  • Engage in continuous self-driven learning: self-teaching, equipment understanding, and creating/sharing technical documentation
  • Work preparation, assess line conditions, communicate, develop testing plans, and stage parts
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tool cribs, machine workstations, and office areas
  • Source spare parts: obtain quotes, negotiate with vendors, and clarify part specifications
  • Complete incident reports as required by the department
  • New equipment specification review and support (risk assessments, commissioning checks, Genba reviews)
  • Non-production activity preparation and coordination (break-lunch-break and off-shift activity preparation, line conditions, communication, testing plan, parts preparation)
Qualifications
  • Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Trade License OR Post-secondary Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with team members, contractors, and vendors to coordinate and complete projects and activities
  • Equipment fabrication and metal working skills (hand tools, measurement tools, welding, and assembly)
  • Project management experience (ability to manage contractors and construction projects)
  • Equipment integration experience that includes installation, setup, troubleshooting and commissioning
  • Experience reading and troubleshooting from schematics and blueprints
  • Hands‑on experience with spot welding (resistance welding)
  • Experience with Maximo Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for logging maintenance activity and ordering parts
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, transfers and lubrication equipment
  • Electrical aptitude (sensor operation and can use basic electrical test equipment)
  • Evaluation of production lines to identify spare parts and PM requirements
  • Completion of uptime elements
  • Programmable logic control (PLC) system knowledge and ladder logic programming experience
  • Fanuc or Yaskawa robot programming experience
Pay & Benefits

Competitive Pay: Earn a standard rate of $51.19 per hour. Overtime Pay: Enjoy 1.5X pay after 8 hours and on Saturdays, and 2X pay on Sundays. Shift Premiums: Receive $2.55 / hr. for afternoon shifts and $5.12 / hr. for midnight shifts. Statutory Holiday Pay: Immediate eligibility for holiday pay.
