Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, servicing existing accounts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective product knowledge and customer relationship management. This role requires strong communication, sales strategy execution, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients by recommending and selling products that meet their needs and expectations.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment by building relationships with co‑workers and team members.
- Conduct client visits to assess needs and promote products or services.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules to call on current or potential customers, service accounts, and obtain orders.
- Research and identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch to prospective clients.
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing accurate product, pricing, and promotional information in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, including competitor pricing, product offerings, and customer demand.
- Increase average order size through cross‑selling, up‑selling, and offering promotional products and solutions.
- Respond to phone and email inquiries to address customer concerns, provide information, and process orders.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales leads, and market research findings.
- Contribute to team goals by achieving individual targets and supporting overall sales initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven sales experience preferred; industry‑specific experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong client relationships and close sales.
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with excellent time‑management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
Sales Commission
There is also a commission component to the overall remuneration package.
