Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • OFA 3 or Mine Rescue Certification would be an asset.

Overview

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join an entrepreneurial organization focused on technical excellence without the bureaucracy of larger firms. You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.

Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy mining equipment, including dozers, graders, and excavators.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks.
  • Follow best operating practices to optimize equipment performance and maintain haul roads, dumps, and loading areas.
  • Adhere to site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, hazard identification, and incident prevention.
  • Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and maintenance teams to support production targets.
  • Report equipment issues and recommend operational improvements.
  • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced operators.
  • Follow environmental best practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience operating large mining equipment (dozers, graders, loaders).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications in equipment operation are a plus.
  • Experience working with MineStar GPS fleet management systems or similar.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged periods of outdoor work and heavy equipment operation.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required by project demands.
  • OFA 3 and/or Mine Rescue Certification would be an asset.
  • Ability to read survey stakes is an asset.
  • Be prepared to actively participate in positive and safe working atmosphere.
  • Ability to stay alert and pay attention to detail during all hours and weather conditions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to safely climb and access equipment, as well as lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.
