Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate a loader, forklift and skid steer to bale and load material, perform daily inspections, and maintain equipment and facilities. Shift is 5 am–3 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday. We value safety, reliability, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Operate a loader to move material and bale/loads.
• Operate heavy equipment safely with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work under limited supervision.
• Lift up to 25 lb frequently and up to 50 lb occasionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience operating Front-End Loader / Forklift / Skid steer
• Operate a loader to bale and load material.
• Perform inspection and maintenance checks of equipment daily.
• Grease/lubricate equipment, check and add fluids to equipment daily
• Maintain appearance of the grounds and facility.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.

Please note: Shift schedule 5 am - 3 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday if needed.

Requirements

• Successfully operate a loader to move material around.
• Ability to operate other heavy equipment an asset.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions and work under little supervision.
• Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
