An environmental services company in Nova Scotia is looking for an Equipment Operator to manage the operation of various equipment in recycling and waste centers. Responsibilities include safely operating equipment, performing daily safety inspections, and assisting with transfer station operations. Equipment Operators are cross-trained to safely operate multiple pieces of all equipment at the recycling and waste centers. Equipment Operators are required to operate all necessary equipment as directed by Supervisors including front wheel loaders, excavators, track dozers, compactors, and forklifts. These duties are performed on a daily basis in a noisy environment in all types of weather conditions. The transfer stations are open 365 days per year. Applicants must be able to work shifts which may include day, afternoon, night, and/or weekend shifts.
