Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. As an Equipment Associate at United Rentals, you will perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation and provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel.

Your day includes checking equipment, preparing gear for rental, driving a delivery truck, and assisting customers. The role offers safety-first training and advancement into driver/service technician development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and teamwork abilities.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Customer-focused with service skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
