Job summary

Hatch in Vancouver, BC seeks an Environment, People, and Place Student starting January 2027. You will work with planners, engineers, architects, and economists across our global offices, contributing to environmental shaping projects from concept to delivery.

The role develops skills in environmental impact assessments, urban design, and community engagement, with mentorship from the EP&P team and opportunities to participate in local events.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Environmental Engineering, Biology or related programs at an accredited university.
• Strong academic standing.
• Interest in environmental, sustainability, or urban design sectors.
• Experience in consultancy environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects at different phases from ideation to delivery.
• Apply and develop knowledge in EP&P areas including environmental surveys and impact assessments.
• Prepare technical documents, maps, and visualizations.
• Support leadership and collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally.
• Present work to team members and clients.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
