Job summary

Onterris is seeking an Environmental Technician to support multiple projects in the Oakville/GTA region. You will assist with field sampling, environmental programs, and site investigations, contributing to regulatory compliance and project success.

The role requires a technical diploma or degree in Environmental Sciences/Technology, 1–3 years of related experience, and a valid G license. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, travel as needed, and help document field activities and findings.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience with soil and groundwater sampling is considered a benefit.
• Ability to travel around the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, as required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate field notes and project documentation.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a matrix reporting structure.
• A valid G driver’s license with no restrictions.

A Day in the Life

As an Environmental Technician in Oakville/GTA you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $24.00 to $32.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
