THE ROLE

Denison is looking to hire an Environmental Technician to support work across its Saskatchewan operations. Reporting to the Regulatory Manager, the Environmental Technician conducts field monitoring, completes site inspections, maintains accurate records, and supports regulatory and compliance activities. This position will initially be based at our Saskatoon office and will later transition to a site-based, rotational (2-week on/2-week off) role at the Wheeler River Site in Northern Saskatchewan.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 1-3 years of environmental field experience (sampling, monitoring, inspections)
• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
• Experience with environmental monitoring or sampling
• Familiarity with basic field equipment (e.g. water probes, pumps, meters), and demonstrated mechanical aptitude for working with tools and equipment
• Ability to work in varying field conditions and environments
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and experience in mining/industrial settings are assets
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid class 5 driver’s license

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct surface water, groundwater, soil, air, and vegetation sampling
• Oversee the construction of environmentally sensitive work and communicate permit requirements to on‑site employees and contractors
• Operate and maintain field monitoring equipment
• Complete environmental and regulatory site inspections
• Document findings and support corrective actions
• Enter monitoring data and maintain accurate records
• Assist with regulatory reporting and permit tracking
• Support spill response and environmental protection measures
• Collaborate with operations and contractors on compliance requirements and implement required adjustments
