Job summary

Defence Construction Canada seeks a Coordinator, Environmental Services, to provide environmental services, guidance and recommendations to Client-Partners on moderate complexity projects. The role oversees in-house and contracted work, coordinates procurement and ensures timely, on-budget delivery.

The position requires a college diploma in biology/environment sciences or related field with four years of experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: college diploma in biology, environment sciences, environmental engineering or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
• Preferred: university degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field and/or specialized knowledge, training and certification (as applicable) in one or more environmental services practice area.
• Ability to use applicable computer software and operating systems; create databases; apply project and risk management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate environmental work on projects to monitor compliance with legal and other requirements.
• Provide environmental technical support for and/or lead contract initiation and management.
• Prepare environmental reports to meet Client-Partner requirements.
• Ensure service level deliverables are met and work is completed on time and on budget.
• Review environmental reports, statements of work and cost estimates; manage project risk.
