Job summary

Canacre is seeking an Environmental Construction Manager to oversee daily environmental compliance activities and a team of Environmental Monitors during energy project construction. You will manage field surveys, reports, and regulatory liaison, ensuring alignment with the Environmental Management System and permit conditions.

The role requires coordinating 25–50% remote field work, travel to remote locations, and providing project oversight from setup through execution, budget, and scheduling

Qualifications

• Experience managing daily environmental construction monitoring personnel.
• Experience in transmission line and renewable energy construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental permits and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily environmental compliance activities and supervise Environmental Monitors.
• Provide project management support, review reporting deliverables, and coordinate surveys.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Management System, permits and approvals; track and report progress.
• Lead field programs, conduct site inspections, and liaise with regulators and stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly, daily, and monthly environmental reports and track incidents.
