Job summary

Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc invites applications for an Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Lands & Leasing Department. The role focuses on analysis, advice, and recommendations related to environmental assessments on TteS lands, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and bylaws.

The position involves heavy office work (75%), field inspections (15%), and other related duties (10%), supporting environmental programs, and coordinating with consultants and Leasing Officers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma with field experience in environmental work.
• Experience writing and reviewing environmental assessments and audits.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and provides analysis and support on environmental requirements on TteS lands.
• Assists with field inspections, audits, and enforcement activities as required.
• Prepares reports, briefs, and correspondence for Chief and Council and other parties.
• Supports budgeting and project planning for environmental programs.
