Job summary

Stantec is seeking an intermediate-level practitioner to help lead environmental assessment and permitting projects in BC. The role involves collaborating with biological, physical, human environment, and engineering teams to support planning, studies, and regulatory permit applications.

Based in Burnaby, Sidney, or other BC locations, you will manage project scope, engage regulators and Indigenous Nations, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BC and federal regulatory agencies, legislation, regulations, permitting frameworks, and environmental assessment requirements.
• Experience supporting or leading federal permitting and review processes (CER/IAA) is an asset.
• Project management experience managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead small- to large-scale multidisciplinary projects from initiation to completion.
• Prepare, coordinate, and review regulatory deliverables and technical reports.
• Provide strategic regulatory and permitting advice to support planning and decision-making.
