A leading visual effects studio in Montreal is seeking an Environment Supervisor to oversee the creation and quality of visual effects environments. This role involves collaboration with a talented team, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that projects meet artistic standards while adhering to schedules. Candidates should have extensive production and supervision experience, a strong technical understanding of CG pipelines, and coding skills in Python.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in production and supervision of high-standard work.
• Good understanding of CG pipelines and efficient workflows.
• Experience in look development and final lighting.
• Holistic knowledge of modeling, texturing, compositing, and rendering.
• Coded in Python for pipeline efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with VFX/CG Supervisors to create environments.
• Direct environment/DMP artists and monitor progress.
• Work closely with teams to ensure quality VFX.
• Evaluate creative requirements and technical implications.
• Conduct final quality control on all deliveries.

Skills

Production and supervision experience

Technical understanding of CG pipelines

Knowledge of look development and final lighting

Generalist environment pipeline knowledge

Working knowledge of 3D renderers and Nuke

Experience in engaging Production Leadership
