Job summary
Dennis Group Structural Engineers design and deliver durable, safe processing facilities for the food and beverage industry. You will work on structural strength, stability, and stresses for new builds and alterations, using AutoCAD and Revit to draft and detail. Travel to sites is required to support projects and inspections.
The team emphasizes rigorous design, code compliance, and collaboration with disciplines to ensure quality and efficiency across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 0-3 years of relevant structural experience or schooling.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and detailing.
- RAM Structural System or RAM Elements knowledge is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (15 days a year).
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of materials and construction techniques to a wide range of projects.
- Perform hand calculations and create computer models for structural design tasks.
- Design gravity, wind, and seismic design loads for facilities.
- Coordinate structural work with other disciplines and review drawings.
- Prepare contract drawings, specifications, and take-offs.
