Position

The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Entry Level Labourer. This job is full-time permanent.

This job posting is used to register with Paper Excellence Skookumchuck and submit a cover letter, resume, and copy of your high school transcript for consideration for entry level labourers in our pulp mill. Hourly rate of pay will be in accordance with the 2021 - 2025 PPWC Local 15 Labour Agreement ($34.720/hour).

Responsibilities

• provide physically demanding labouring work in all areas of the mill, including vacation and training relief
• work a shift rotation (days and nights)
• duties and job requirements will include but are not limited to:
  • operating mobile equipment for extended periods
  • being on your feet for extended periods
  • working in hot and noisy conditions
  • having good visual perception
  • being computer literate
• a copy of your Grade 12 transcripts from High School
• possess a valid Canadian driver’s license
• have demonstrated a capacity to learn
• possess a history of safe work performance
