Entry-Level - Digital Marketing Assistant / Coordinator
The Metis Student - Entry Level Digital Marketing Assistant supports the planning, execution, and optimization of our online marketing efforts. This entry-level role is perfect for someone enthusiastic about social media, digital content, and marketing analytics, and eager to learn about the tools and strategies that drive online engagement. You must be able to work 20 hours a week. A remote opportunity is possible if the student can work during some BC/AB office hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day management of company social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Support the creation and scheduling of content, including posts, graphics, and short videos.
- Help manage website updates and coordinate digital campaigns.
- Track and report on digital marketing metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Support email marketing campaigns and newsletter distribution.
- Research market trends, audience insights, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative content and campaign ideas.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for marketing projects and events.
Qualifications
- Must be a Metis student working towards: Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are important.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, or Google Workspace.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn new digital tools.
Preferred Assets
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO basics, or paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads).
- Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Creative eye for design, content layout, and branding.
- Photography, video editing, or copywriting experiences are assets.
