Description

As a Director within PwC’s Chief Data Analytic Office (CDAO), you will lead the modernization and implementation of the enterprise data platform, including Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. You will also be responsible for integrating Collibra with Databricks and Fabric, implementing new data governance technology, and driving digital transformation in collaboration with the CDAO Data Engineering & Architecture team.

Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is critical in driving AI enablement, business growth, shaping the direction of data and transformation, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. You are expected to guard PwC's reputation, uphold quality, integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset, and create a healthy working environment while maximizing satisfaction for leaders and end‑users.

This role requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to accelerate implementation efforts. You must be capable of rapidly standing‑up new technologies from scratch and leading teams in high‑pressure environments to meet aggressive timelines.

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, accelerating technology implementation and execution
  • Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Develop and present Proof of Concepts and technical demos to validate data platform capabilities
  • Mentor and inspire the next generation of data and technology leaders within the CDAO
  • Promote an environment where people and technology thrive together
  • Uphold and enforce professional, technical, and ethical standards in all project delivery
  • Foster a healthy, inclusive working environment and maximize leader and end‑user satisfaction
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
  • Experience in software development, including architecting Azure‑based data solutions
  • Proven expertise in Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Data Factory, and Python
  • Experience implementing data governance with Collibra and data integration / analytics with Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong knowledge of event‑driven architecture and modern data platform design
  • Demonstrated leadership in technology adoption, innovation, and digital transformation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to rapidly stand‑up new technologies and lead teams under aggressive timelines
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big picture and detailed execution
  • Adherence to professional and technical standards, and PwC’s code of conduct and independence
  • Experience with Azure ML / MLOps, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, or Pre‑Sales Architecture is a nice to have
