Job summary

Direct IT Recruiting Inc. is seeking an AI Tooling Developer to design and sustain MCP connectors that securely access internal systems. You will shape a reusable skills library and governance around internal data exposure, while enabling enterprise assistants across the organization.

You will work with Claude and Enterprise ChatGPT, implement OAuth/SSO-based security, and collaborate with Information Security and Data Governance. A hands-on role in a fast-paced AI team with a 14-month term.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Python experience.
• Git-based workflows and API integrations.
• Experience with large language model platforms (LLMs).
• Knowledge of MCP and enterprise integrations is a strong differentiator.
• Security concepts: OAuth, SSO, entitlements, audit logging.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain MCP connectors providing secure access to internal systems.
• Choose deployment model based on data sensitivity and security requirements.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization using OAuth and per-user entitlements.
• Instrument connectors with logging/monitoring and maintain docs and support procedures.
• Develop and maintain a library of reusable AI skills and templates.
• Manage the skills repository lifecycle, ownership, and controlled distribution.
• Build evaluation and regression-testing capabilities for reliability as models evolve.
• Establish reference architecture, security baselines, and approval pathways for exposing internal data.
• Serve as SME for Claude and Enterprise ChatGPT, including connectors and agent features.
• Monitor platform releases and translate capabilities into practical recommendations.
