Job summary

Childventures Early Learning Academy is seeking an Enhanced Funding Educator to join our team. The role focuses on nurturing creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in a warm, safe environment, while aligning with our values and quality assurance processes.

This 12-week contract may extend to full-time depending on campus needs. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day, with daily flexibility in shift timing as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset.
• RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
• ECE Early Childhood Educator
• CYW Child Youth Worker
• CYC Child and Youth Care
• ECA Early Childhood Assistant
• EA Educational Assistant

Responsibilities

• Participate in the age appropriate environment rating scale annually
• Interacts with Ministry staff and other regulators around licensing requirements for inspection purposes
• Follows the Centre’s Quality Assurance Cycle when using program evaluation tools
• Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
• Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
• Attending to the child’s physical needs
• Actively participates in required training sessions within Childventures curriculum and community sponsored professional development
• Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
• Prepare weekly program plans meeting all requirements of curriculum
• Daily observations
• Maintain child records

This is a 12 week contract role. This contract may be extended, upon approval, and could turn into a full-time role, depending on campus requirements. Please note this position is Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day. Flexibility of shift day to day is a necessity.

MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 Step TB Skin Test
• Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B)
