The International Test Pilots School (ITPS) is seeking an experienced and innovative ESL Instructor to support the development and delivery of specialized English-language programming within our aviation training environment in London, Ontario.This is a unique opportunity for an ESL professional who enjoys both curriculum development and adult instruction.As ITPS expands its English-language training capability, the successful candidate will initially play an important role in researching, developing, and refining new English-language programs and learning materials. As the programs move into delivery, the position will transition into a combination of classroom instruction, curriculum development, learner assessment, and continuous program improvement.Our learners are adult professionals, including pilots and engineers, with varying levels of English-language proficiency. The successful candidate will therefore need to adapt instruction and learning materials to different language levels while supporting learners in a highly technical, professional aviation environment.

Candidates with a foundational TESOL qualification and a strong combination of relevant teaching, curriculum-development, and professional experience may also be considered.Previous aviation experience is not required. An interest in learning about aviation and the ability to translate technical and professional contexts into meaningful language-learning opportunities will be important to success in the role.
Due to the nature of ITPS operations and the programs supported by this position, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete applicable security screening and background verification, which may include a criminal record check, fingerprinting, and other security or regulatory screening required for access to ITPS facilities, information, customers, or programs.
