MDA Space is seeking an Engineering Student for the RF electronics & antenna engineering team at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC. This four-month internship (with possible extension to eight months) starts January 2027 and mirrors a new graduate's responsibilities.

As part of the RF group, you will contribute to developing RF units for various programs, participate in PCB drawings, design, testing and integration on flight prototypes, and attend planning meetings with a multifunctional team.

We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our RF electronics & antennaengineering department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4 months mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in January 2027.

The successful candidate’s work scope would be similar to that of a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

The successful candidate will participate in the development of RF units for various MDA programs.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a dynamic intern to participate in the production of equipment used in communication systems for communication satellites;
• Within a multifunctional team, the candidate will participate in the design and development cycle of radio frequency (RF) equipment and associated test equipment;
• Interns could participate in activities such as designing printed circuit board (PCB) drawings or schematics;
• The student will also be able to support integration and testing on flight prototypes;
• Alternatively, the student could be called upon to work on different sections of the same project, or on different programs;
• The student will attend project planning and progress team meetings.

Experience and skills required:

• Five semesters of bachelor's degree in electrical engineering completed before the start of the internship;
• Interest and knowledge of radio frequency circuit design and RF components;
• Has good analytical skills
• Dynamic;
• Desire to learn;
• Sense of initiative would be an asset;
• Related work or extracurricular experiences.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint software;
• Demonstrated academic performance (good general average [above 3.30);
• Good verbal and written communication skills ideally both in English and French (Contact with customers outside Quebec).

Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
