Job summary

MDA Space in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC, is seeking an Engineering Student for a 4-month mandate starting January 2027 (with potential extension to 8 months). This internship offers hands-on work across analog, digital and power electronics under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Interns will join teams designing analog, digital or power electronic systems.
• Interns may participate in PCB design activities such as drawing or schematic development, bill of material management, electronic circuit analysis, test procedure development, mass, performance and power budgets.
• Interns may support the laboratory activities such as prototyping, characterization, integration testing and reporting.
• Interns may support continuous improvement initiatives such as tool and business process development.
• Interns may also support the development of test plans and automation through scripting and programming.
• The students are closely shadowed by a mentor and will attend project status meetings.

We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Digital department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4 month mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in January 2027.

The successful candidate’s work scope would be similar to that of a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

As our Engineering Student, you will:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Experience and skills required:

• Fifth semester completed towards a Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering prior to the start of the internship

• Experience with one or more of the following software: Matlab, Python, C/C++, PSPICE, Siemens Mentor Graphics (or other PCB design software)
• Experience in PCB design and testing electronics
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint softwareProven academic performance
• Knowledge of French and English

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
