Overview

Location: Toronto, ON. On site. Salary: $140,000 YEAR (40 hours per week). Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time. Starts as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Identify different programs that will benefit the ultimate goal of the company.
  • Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers.
  • Conduct research to expand knowledge of the field.
  • Inspect products and processing methods; prepare reports and ensure that regulations governing health, quality and safety are followed.
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Assist in design, development and testing.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.
  • Liaise with management, engineers and other trades.
  • Test prototypes and production tools.
  • Determine the objectives and milestones of a new project.
  • Coordinate projects and programs.
  • Conduct research to develop new chemical formulations and processes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master\'s degree in Bioengineering and biomedical engineering; Biology/biological sciences, general; Biological and biomedical sciences, other; Chemistry, other.
  • Work experience: 3 years to less than 5 years; Area of work experience includes Project management, Quality assurance or control, Research and development, Specification or technical writing, Strategic planning; Area of specialization: Science, Development of production processes, Cannabis processing.
  • Technical experience: Biochemical and molecular techniques.
  • Languages: English; Asset languages: Mandarin.
  • On site work: Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely.
