Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Buildings is seeking an Engineering Scheduler to ensure the right engineers are deployed at the right times. You will plan, dispatch and support reactive fault calls and planned maintenance, coordinating with internal teams and customers to meet SLAs and maintain accurate records.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organisation, and system proficiency, with a focus on delivering a high-quality service experience across our account base.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and dispatch engineers for reactive fault calls and planned maintenance activities, ensuring customer commitments and service level agreements are met.
  • Assist with the planning and dispatch of engineers for fault calls and planned maintenance works.
  • Ensure all service activities are completed within required timeframes, including invoicing, goods receipting, and checking engineering documentation.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for customer enquiries and as an initial escalation to resolve issues.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for parts, subcontractors, or equipment hire, and liaise with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure RAMS are up to date, making minor changes as necessary for management review and approval.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Support Team Leader and the wider team to ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Buildings

Location: This role will be primarily based at our Botanica Ditton Park site. We are planning to relocate to Botanica Ditton Park from January 2027. Until then, the role will be based at our current Farnborough office.

As an Engineering Scheduler, you'll play a vital role in keeping our Customer Support Service Operations (CSSO) running smoothly by ensuring the right engineers are deployed at the right time. Working as part of a collaborative and customer-focused team, you'll help deliver an exceptional service experience across our service account base.

You will be a key member of the team, coordinating daily operations to support our service account base. This includes call handling, dispatching engineers, and managing customer enquiries, alongside essential administration and support tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule and dispatch engineers for reactive fault calls and planned maintenance activities, ensuring customer commitments and service level agreements are met.
  • Assist with the planning and dispatch of engineers for both fault calls and planned maintenance works.
  • Ensure all service activities are completed within required timeframes, including invoicing, goods receipting, and checking engineering documentation.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for customer enquiries and serve as an initial point of escalation to resolve issues as required.

  • Ensure Risk and Method Statements (RAMS) are up to date, making minor changes as necessary for management review and approval.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Support Team Leader and the wider team to ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
About you:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously, balancing customer requirements, engineer availability and business priorities.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, updating service management systems and producing operational reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A conscientious and helpful approach, with the willingness to use your initiative to solve
  • Previous experience working as a scheduler or coordinator, ideally alongside field-based engineers.
  • Previous experience within a service, engineering, facilities management, building technologies, fire and security, or similar operational environment.
  • Experience using scheduling, workforce management or service management systems.
