Join our team on the Skandi Inventor!

DOF has a highly specialised vessel, the Skandi Inventor, entering the Asia Pacific Region. DOF is seeking highly knowledgeable, skilled and experienced Engineering Officers to join the Skandi Inventor team. These positions will ensure the safe and efficient operations of the Skandi Inventor by managing planned maintenance and repairs for the vessel’s mechanical and electrical equipment.

The successful candidates will have proven experience working on highly specialised vessels with intricate work instructions and complex work systems and equipment. The incumbents will demonstrate DOF’s values, Teamwork, Excellence, Respect, Integrity and above all we are Safe.

  • The ability to work under highly complex and safety critical DOF operating procedures within a dynamic offshore environment.
  • The ability to follow intricate work instructions from supervisors and managers.
  • The ability to apply sustained attention and sound judgement to operate highly specialised equipment.
  • The ability to continuously and immediately identify hazards, assess risks and implement controls to meet the highest level of safety.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience using Stop Work Authorities, supporting a speak up culture, and accurately reporting incidents, near misses, hazards and observations to ensure audience to safety practice and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience working in collaboration with team members, completing their job tasks to DOF’s standard, and operate with respect and integrity.
  • A demonstrated positive solution focused approach to operational, technical and vessel requirements.
  • Proven experience leading and supervising a high performing and safe team is essential for leadership positions.
  • Experienced working on DP2 and/or DP3 offshore construction vessels.
  • Hold a current Engineering Watchkeeper Certificate of Competency or above coupled with DP familiarisation qualifications.
  • Hold a valid AMSA and/or Norwegian Medical with a minimum validity of 6 months.
  • Hold a current or be able to obtain a BOSIET-CAEBS certification is beneficial.
  • Hold a current MISC or be able to obtain one.
