Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent.
• 5+ years managing software teams.
• 10+ years in OO development with enterprise scope; Java preferred; security-focused.
• Web applications experience with secure coding practices.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure); databases and big data; DevOps/CI-CD.
• Strong time management and project management.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-building and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day of software dev team with coaching and performance management.
• Establish modern engineering standards and delivery practices.
• Create technology roadmaps and prioritize resources for projects.
• Maintain open communication with staff and management.
• Document deliverables, schedules and progress reports.
• Coordinate with departments to define project scopes and deliverables.
• Oversee maintenance of existing software offerings.
• Ensure performance, scalability and security of systems.
• Participate in design decisions and translate to implementation details.
• Recruit staff and conduct performance evaluations.
• Introduce leading-edge development methodologies and tools.
