Job summary

Okta is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Okta Access Gateway in Toronto. You will lead a team delivering the next-gen hybrid access infrastructure and collaborate with product, architecture, security, and quality teams to ensure high-throughput, secure software deployed across multi-cloud and enterprise data centers.

You will mentor engineers, own roadmap execution, and drive agile practices while emphasizing security standards and operational excellence in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership with 2+ years managing software teams (or 4+ years as hands-on Lead).
• 8+ years in software engineering designing and operating enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Strong server-side tech and distributed systems knowledge (Java/Spring Boot, Go, C/C++).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an engineering team in Toronto, growing talent and capability.
• Own end-to-end delivery of key product roadmap initiatives with balance of velocity and quality.
• Establish agile delivery cadences and track milestones with stakeholders.
• Champion security, high availability, and performance for gateway appliances.
