Job summary

Autodesk, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a new Canada-based team focused on agentic AI for Viewer MCP.

You will hire, guide, and grow engineers, set the technical direction, and partner with cross-functional groups to ship production-grade AI capabilities. The role demands strong leadership, hands-on delivery, and a track record in AI-enabled products, cloud-native systems, and scalable ML infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading or managing software engineers, plus 7+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering complex, production-grade systems with AI/ML components.

Responsibilities

• Hire, build, and grow a diverse, high-performing engineering team.
• Own delivery of team commitments: plan, prioritize, and ship features predictably.
• Set and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the agentic platform.
• Partner across Product, UX, Applied AI, and other teams to expose capabilities.
• Define how to evaluate AI systems for quality, safety, latency, and cost.
• Ensure engineering best practices: CI/CD, testing, observability, and production support.
