Okta Secures AI Team is building the future of digital identity management. The Okta Secures AI Group seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Agent Access Policies sub-team, enabling least-privilege agent access to enterprise resources and per-agent control.

This role emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and the integration of AI into the SDLC while maintaining robust security and scalability across mature enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years designing and building enterprise-grade software.
• 2+ years managing engineering teams, balancing new feature/product development and maintaining existing features.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Agent Access Policies sub-team and drive strategic direction.
• Partner with product management and technical leads to define roadmaps.
• Ensure high quality, security, and operational excellence through testing and automation.
• Lead the adoption of AI into the software development lifecycle.
• Drive projects from inception to delivery with cross-functional collaboration.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent and foster a diverse, high-performing team.
• Mentor engineers, manage performance, and support career growth.
• Advocate for Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD practices.
• Communicate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to product and technical roadmaps with a strategic mindset.
