Role Overview
The Engineering Manager plays a key leadership role in driving the success of engineering operations, overseeing the Product, and Design team. This position is responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and meet the organization’s technical and quality standards. The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with deep technical knowledge to guide innovation, streamline processes, and support customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Applications, Product, and Design Engineering teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Manage and continuously improve engineering processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, providing expert guidance and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Oversee the development of technical requirements, project plans, and design specifications to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure all engineering projects are completed on schedule and within budget, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and problem-solving support to engineering and design teams.
  • Oversee product design documentation, configuration management, and revision control to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
  • Lead and control the quotation process, ensuring accurate cost estimation and competitive pricing.
  • Manage resource planning, workload allocation, and departmental budgeting to optimize performance and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives where needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing engineering or product development teams.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in engineering design, development, or related disciplines.
  • Proven ability to balance technical leadership with business and customer priorities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
