Are you passionate about systems engineering and ready to make a meaningful impact in the shipbuilding industry? We're seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Engineer, Platform Systems Requirements to join our dynamic Requirements and Verification team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the future of naval platforms by leading the development and management of system requirements that drive innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the System Requirements Document (SRD) and associated deliverables for the entire ship platform.
  • Conduct thorough requirements analysis and reviews aligned with the Systems Engineering Management Plan and Requirements Management Plan.
  • Ensure traceability of SRD requirements down to the lowest Configuration Item across all systems.
  • Develop and maintain plans, processes, and procedures to support program requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and production phases.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within your engineering discipline, making informed, risk-based decisions.
  • Champion Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Manage the DOORS Requirements Management database and CAMEO MBSE software applications.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal teams (e.g., Shipyard Production, CSC Program personnel) and external stakeholders (e.g., subcontractors, Canadian government representatives).
  • Ensure all Subcontractor and ISI Systems Engineering deliverables meet the Statement of Work requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in an Engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in shipbuilding or warship operations in an engineering or project management capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with DOORS and MBSE tools such as CAMEO.
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
