Job summary

TD Bank Group is seeking an Engineer I for the Toronto office to join the Technology Solutions team. The role focuses on implementing real-time event-driven systems and end-to-end solutions for Payments workflows using Java, Spring, and modern data technologies.

You will collaborate with engineers, analysts and project managers to deliver scalable, secure and maintainable services in an Agile environment, with opportunities for growth and exposure to Azure and Hadoop ecosystems.

Qualifications

• University or postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring frameworks.

The team is responsible for providing technology solutions around the Payments distributed workflow applications.An Application Engineer with experience and background in real-time event driven systems, Java/Javascript/Typescript development, Databases and Application Integration with knowledge of JMS, REST, XML, SQL are best suited for this role. Working knowledge of project deliveries based on Agile methodology and DevOps principles is a must have. Familiarity with NoSQL datastores, implementation in Azure and other open-source systems like Apache Hadoop eco-system, etc. will be very useful. We are looking for someone to participate in the creation of comprehensive end-to-end detailed solutions with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the system. You'll be exposed to stretch assignments as you take on large-scale, complex and/or enterprise-wide projects.
