About the Job:
  • Design efficient DSP algorithms for coherent optical communication systems, optimizing for both implementation complexity and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of end-to-end simulation platforms and perform verification and impairment analysis.
  • Design and execute laboratory experiments to validate DSP algorithms and optical system performance.
  • Collaborate closely with ASIC, system, and test teams to drive specifications and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Perform hands‑on optical component characterization and system performance testing using instruments such as optical spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, RF test equipment, and optical amplifiers.
About the ideal candidate:
  • PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, or Physics, with experience in high‑speed communication systems.
  • Strong background in optical systems and DSP algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, TCL, or Julia.
  • Demonstrated experimental and laboratory experience in optical systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a cross‑disciplinary team.
