Job description
Primary Function
  • Responsible for all automation related activities of the product.
  • Responsible for the Maintenance and Repair of production automated machines.
  • Continuous to enhance quality and productivity through automated processes
  • Identify and initiate actions to prevent occurrence and recurrence of product, process, quality systems nonconformities
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Optimise automation parameters and meeting specific cycle time for existing and new products.
  • To provide timely support to ensure efficiency of production machines & equipments are met.
  • To work with respective department on product quality issues.
  • Initiate containment plan and implement effective long term plan on quality related issues
  • Attend to all daily quality and process related issues.
  • Execute process validation for new and existing products with tooling and quality personnel.
  • Participate in the Continuous Process Improvement programme to improve productivity, reduce scrap.
  • Perform internal quality system audit.
  • Train and assess production staff on processes and product where applicable.
  • Attend routine production and quality meetings
  • Execute engineering change notice from customer.
  • Analyze quality data collected periodically and provide recommendation to management for improvement
  • Compliance to all regulatory and in house system requirements especially for medical and automotive customers
  • Perform additional tasks given by the management
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering-related discipline, preferably Mechatronics
  • Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO13485, TS16949, familiar with FMEA
  • Results-oriented, meticulous and a self-motivated team player
