Qualifications

• Marine Emergency duties training – STCW Basic Safety (MED A1 and B2).
• Proficiency in Survival Craft (MED B1).
• Formal training or certification in mechanics is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machinery such as engines and boilers.
• Assist with maintenance work including oil changes and adjustments.
• Ensure emergency systems and participate in safety drills.
• Perform daily tasks like fuel soundings and cleaning machinery.
• Manage housekeeping duties in the engine room.
