Job summary

Brookfield Renewable is seeking an Analyst, Settlement & Structured Transactions to handle the settlement of energy market trades and long-term contracts. You will work under the Manager, S&STG, performing daily settlements, validating entries, and improving processes within a global renewables platform.

You will collaborate across departments, contribute to regulatory reports, and participate in system enhancement projects.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience, preferably in the energy industry.
Enthusiastic learner with ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and quality of work.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Ensure daily and monthly settlement tasks are completed.
Validate accounting entries for month end accruals and invoices per standards.
Develop shadow calculations and improve validation processes for settlement algorithms.
Allocate revenue and charges to correct legal entity and business strategy.
Conduct market rule research to stay current with settlement requirements.
Collaborate with departments to ensure data accuracy in reports.
Support regulatory reporting and UAT on systems improvement projects.
