Energy Efficiency Advisor

Entegrus Powerlines requires a Energy Efficiency Advisor. This role will build and sustain collaborative relationships with Entegrus customers, focusing on commercial and industrial accounts, to identify energy conservation opportunities and guide customers through IESO energy efficiency programs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the EDA eDSM Governance Committee to ensure compliance with all program parameters by monitoring program rules and measures, and by engaging with industry and government stakeholders as necessary.
  • Lead customer outreach efforts by establishing relationships with large customers through regular engagement, helping them design and implement energy action plans, actively promoting the IESO’s energy efficiency programs and acting as the general liaison between Entegrus and Large Accounts.
  • Promote facility energy audits to develop energy efficiency business cases and drive customer participation in the IESO’s energy efficiency programs.
  • Assist customers in the application process for the IESO energy efficiency programs, including acting as their Applicant Representative, and screening, reviewing, and following up on all applications received.
  • Meet with customers and maintain accurate sales meetings and activity records.
  • Assess energy efficiency potential for customers and provide updates for eDSM reporting.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with customers and key stakeholders—including Energy Managers, channel partners, suppliers, and service providers—to advance energy efficiency initiatives and business cases.
  • Identify and develop customer education and training opportunities by coordinating and leading workshops and meetings on energy efficiency and demand response and support the planning and execution of customer recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IESO Delivery Partners for customer applications and energy efficient projects.
  • Support the development and completion of the annual eDSM budget and plan, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and assist with eDSM reporting as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: A college diploma in applied Science or Technology is preferred. Certified Engineering Management (CEM) and or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) certificate is an asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in industrial and commercial energy efficiency programs and/or energy efficiency related sales.
  • Knowledge: Must possess a good understanding of the energy efficiency and electrical utility industries, including an understanding of the demand side management landscape in Ontario, familiarity with energy efficiency measures for industrial, commercial and institutional customers.
  • Skills: Must have sales knowledge and experience. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Proficient with all major office software, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Other: Must possess and maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and maintain an acceptable Driver’s Abstract. Travel within Ontario is required.

The regular hours of work are from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., daily. This is a salaried position and includes compensation and benefits in accordance with the company’s non-union benefit program.
