The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Energy Data Analyst to work as a member of the Maintenance and Environmental Services team. The Energy Data Analyst will work directly with the Supervisor, Building Automation Systems and will assist in tasks identifying, measuring, and verifying energy and sustainability opportunities and overall performance of over 100 SCDSB facilities totaling over 6 million square feet. The position will include the analysis and reporting of utility consumption and demand data, identification of billing anomalies, identifying energy savings opportunities and validation of conservation and sustainability improvement measures implemented to maximize energy performance and minimize energy costs. The position will be primarily in the office but will require site visits at times to conduct on-site energy audits and verify equipment.
This is a full-time 2-year permanent contract position with a defined end date of August 31, 2027. The successful applicant must meet a 5% savings on energy consumption annually for this position to become permanent after August 31, 2027. The regular work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $64,350 to $80,440 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The normal work week for this position is thirty-five (35) hours.
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees, even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
