Job summary

The Inpatient Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner at Fraser Health will provide expert evaluation, management and education for hospitalized patients with endocrine disorders at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats patients within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice; writes orders for treatment and medications.
• Monitors ongoing care; orders diagnostic investigations and interprets results.
• Establishes priorities for management of health and collaborates with physicians and other health professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Prescribes drugs within statutory and regulatory standards and employer policies.
