A dedicated Indigenous-focused organization in Manitoba is looking for an Ending Violence Facilitator. This full-time role involves teaching about gender-based violence (GBV) impacts on Indigenous communities. Responsibilities include working with First Nations, developing a GBV Toolkit, and leading workshops. The ideal candidate has experience in GBV rights, strong communication skills, and organizational capabilities amidst diverse community interactions.
POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME, 40 HOURS/WEEK. About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Ending Violence Facilitator to join our team. This role focuses on teaching and supporting communities outside Winnipeg about what gender-based violence (GBV) is and how it impacts Indigenous people, specifically women and two-spirited folks. This project works across many sectors like health, justice, schools, social services, and more. You will support First Nations communities build their own tools and plans to respond to violence. This includes creating and testing a new Indigenous GBV Toolkit and helping organizations measure the impact of their work. You’ll also be part of a network of people and communities working to stop violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people.
