Overview

Assist persons with intellectual disabilities in identifying barriers to employment, building job readiness skills, and accessing community‑based career planning support. Provide consulting services to community groups, agencies, businesses, and other organizations, while performing administrative tasks and administering assessment tests.

Responsibilities
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job readiness skills, job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
  • Perform administrative tasks.
  • Administer and interpret tests designed to determine interests, aptitudes, and abilities of clients.
  • Provide consulting services to community groups, agencies, businesses, and other organizations involved in providing community‑based career planning support or resources.
Qualifications
  • College, CEGEP, or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a 1–2 year program.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's licence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, client focus, efficient communication, teamwork, initiative, organization.
  • Attention to detail.
