Location: Montréal, Quebec, CA

The Employee Relations Coordinator is responsible for the full management of employee leave of absence and accommodation requests for the Quebec region. They maintain rigorous follow-up on files, coordinate return-to-work processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication with unionized employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Absence management: Oversee short-term absences (1 to 6 days) and extended sick leaves (7 days or more), including gradual return-to-work plans.
  • Special leaves: Administer occasional leaves (unpaid, parental, bereavement, etc.).
  • Accommodations: Manage various types of accommodation requests.
  • Analysis and reporting: Produce and maintain reports related to leaves and accommodations to ensure effective follow-up in compliance with internal policies.

Education, Experience and aptitude

  • Bilingual (French and English) required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in human resources.
  • Work experience in a generalist position in a federal, unionized environment.
  • Post‑secondary education in human resources or labor relations, or equivalent work experience.
