University of British Columbia invites applications for a Canada Impact+ Emerging Leader at the rank of Assistant Professor in Integrative Animal Physiology and One Health, to strengthen aquaculture-related research and education. The award provides $100,000 per year for six years to support salary, research, and indirect costs, with a focus on sustainable food production and water resources.

The successful candidate will develop an internationally recognized program, teach in UBC’s Applied

Qualificações

• PhD completed with focus on applied animal physiology, preferably One Health.
• Evidence of successful teaching and mentoring will be an asset.
• Ability to develop and teach undergraduate courses in Applied Animal Biology.

Responsabilidades

• Develop an internationally recognized independent research program at the intersection of animal and environmental health.
• Teach undergraduate courses in Applied Animal Biology with emphasis on animal physiology.
• Mentor graduate students and collaborate across disciplines.
• Lead research initiatives that address food and water security in aquaculture systems.
