Job summary

Animal Emergency Clinic of Durham Region (AECDR) is seeking an RVT to join our experienced emergency team on an 18-month maternity leave contract. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with supportive DVMs and RVTs, and to use anesthesia, diagnostics, monitoring and critical care skills. Located in Whitby, our 8,400 sq.

ft. hospital operates 24/7, providing care for cats and dogs with round-the-clock veterinary support.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (RVT).
• Experience in emergency or critical care is an asset and willingness to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate well with the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care, anesthesia, diagnostics, monitoring and critical care.
• Collaborate with DVMs and RVTs to provide high-quality emergency services.
• Contribute to a supportive, learning-centered clinic culture.
