The fully accredited Brandon Regional Health Centre is accepting applications for Emergency Department Physicians. Brandon Regional Health Centre has 300+ beds and receives about 29,000+ emergency visits per year with greater than 60% being CTAS 1-3. BRHC works in conjunction with the provincial trauma service providing much of the trauma care to Western Manitoba. There are also teaching opportunities if this is of interest to the applicant, as Brandon hosts a University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Brandon satellite campus for various clinical clerk positions and resident training positions.
Interested physicians should submit aCV with attention to ED training (exampleCCFP-EM), experience and up-to-date information regarding certification in PALS, ACLS, ATLS, etc.
Prairie Mountain Health covers a geographically large area, around 67,000 sq.km, and runs east-west from Saskatchewan/Manitoba border communities like Benito, Elkhorn and Russell to Waterhen Lake, Lake Manitoba and Treherne. Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south. There are numerous other recreational areas in Western Manitoba, Brandon’s enthusiastic volunteer base land many provincial, national and international events.
