The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) is seeking an Emergency Physician to join our team. The selected candidate would work among a collegial group of physicians in a level 3 trauma centre that handles approximately 52,000 ER visits annually. A full complement of specialist services is available, as well as diagnostic services including both MRI & 2 CT scanners. The position will involve a full range of emergency medicine as well as trauma team leader (TTL) duties and participation in the education of medical students and residents. We are looking for both CCFP(EM) and FRCPC grads.
UHNBC serves both the immediate population of Prince George (approx. 87,000) and is a referral centre for Northern BC (total population approx. 300,000). It is the main teaching centre for medical students in the Northern Medical Program (NMP) and provides teaching for University of British Columbia residents in several specialties.
