Job summary

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting physicians (CCFP-EM or EM trained, eligible for CPSBC licensure) for full-time and part-time positions at Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, BC. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care stabilization, triage and hospice services in a 16-bed facility.

This rural opportunity is about two hours east of Vancouver, offering outdoor recreation and a supportive Fraser Health community.

Qualifications

• FRCPC/CCFP-EM/ABEM certification required or eligible.
• CPSBC licensure or provisional eligibility must be met.
• ACLS/ATLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Role and Facility Information

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking to recruit a full time and/or part-time CCFP (+/- EM Trained) physician.

A unique rural opportunity for you just a short two-hour drive east of Vancouver’s city centre. Hope is an outdoor paradise with a variety of recreational opportunities and a vibrant culture all surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking views.

Fraser Canyon Hospital (FCH) is a 16-bed community hospital and provides services including 24/7 emergency care stabilization and triage and hospice beds and services. Emergency care stabilization and triage 24/7 is a critical need for Fraser Canyon Hospital due to its geographic isolation and the number of travellers using the major highways that converge in the area.

Qualifications & Experience

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP-EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligible for Provisional Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• CPSBC USA-certified class of registration is acceptable.
